City of Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Program

Location: Carpinteria City Beach, CA
Each year a Regionals team is selected to participate in the Regional Junior Lifeguard Competition held by CSLSA.
The team is selected by invite-only based on competition results. Final selections will be made the week of Regionals, and JGs will be sent home with a parent information sheet and an event waiver that must be completed and returned to their instructors.
Event Details (*Invitation Only*):
Transportation to Event: JG parents/guardians are responsible for transporting their Junior Guard to this event. This is an all-day competition and parent/guardians must be present when the competition is completed to sign out JG.
Time: Competition begins at 9:00 a.m. Please report to the red Newport Beach JG tent by 8:30 a.m. Please make sure to check-in and check-out.
Where: Carpinteria, CA. Event will be held at Carpinteria City Beach. It is located at 4975 Sandyland, Rd.,Carpinteria, CA 93103.
Transportation to this event must be provided by parent/guardians as there will be NO bus. This is an all-day competition and parent/guardians must be present when the competition is completed, to sign out JG.

Bring: 2019 uniform, running shoes are optional for running events, snacks, lunch and water for entire day, sunscreen, towel, warm clothes.
